Study guitar with some of my most recent instructional publications. Full details below on all guitar books I have written and co-authored with other writers and publishers.
Instructional GUITAR BOOKS
For several years now I have been involved in authoring and co-writing instructional music books and publications (predominantly for guitarists) Many of these guitar books have been produced by the excellent Fundamental Changes publishing company in the UK. FC are one of the fastest growing music publishers on Amazon, with many of their best guitar books receiving 5 star reviews.
In addition to the FC publications advertised on this page, I have also self-published several instructional e-books on Amazon.
I also regularly contribute HQ audio examples, music transcriptions, solo analyses and full scores for a variety of music publishers and independent writers. Contact me if you would like more information on my work in this regard and I’ll be happy to discuss your project with you via e-mail or by phone.

Testimonials
What Readers are Saying...
"..Rather than being yet another "hot licks" style book, Pete Sklaroff 's 25 Jazz Fusion Lines for Guitar is an excellent starting point for creating your own jazz fusion style lines or for adding a Jazz fusion style flavour to your playing. The lines, each with an excellent description, detail the scale that has been used to construct the line, possible chord choices and the thought process behind the construction of the line.
The real value of this book is Pete Sklaroff's excellent explanation of each line which offers something for both the novice player and those with a wider knowledge of Jazz.."
"..Pete's book of lines does exactly what it suggests on the front, and does it really well.
None of the usually flowery philosophical preamble, just good solid lines and a helpful commentary.
Thanks to excellent audio sample that accompanies it, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to any guitarist at any level..."
"..I recently ordered this book and I must say that I am glad that I did! Beautiful lines - flawlessly executed.. If you are looking for some Jazz "vocabulary" that doesn't sound like exercises, I highly recommend this book. The MP3 recordings of each line played in context are invaluable..."
"..Perfect combination of the theory and practical playing over common jazz fusion chord changes!
I have been waiting for something like this for a long time! I love the format too!
Keep it up, Peter! Looking forward to more books from you..."
"..This book includes 5 sections of exercises primarily focused on improving technique and inter-hand co-ordination.
Rather than being another technique book of "get fast quick" exercises like so many on the market Pete Sklaroff takes a holistic approach with exercises based around finding and overcoming weaknesses in your own playing.
The value of this book is not simply the exercises but the detailed descriptions and summary.
The commentary demonstrates a clear understanding of the struggle that many players have with aspects of their technique and the authors approach is both insightful and clear
This book has lots to offer for beginners and advanced players and the writing style makes it easily accessible at all levels. I cannot recommend this authors work highly enough.."
